An important element to our teaching is the days outside of the classroom, where learning is bought to life.

Our inquisitive Bevendean learners journeyed back in time with their special guest, Sir Teachalot to enhance their History topic, Knights and Castles. They explored weaponry such as swords, lances and spears and tried on very heavy chainmail armour, they were surprised by the weight of the soldier’s uniform. Their favourite moment of the day was their opportunity to joust, charging through the playground on a wooden horse just as knights did many, many years ago!
